Language & The World

Language and our perception of the world fit hand in hand. If there is no language then there simply is no world because there is no possible way to dub the world, world if language does not exist to provide a word, or perhaps a name for it. Thus, language is clearly a key component of the world, and the root of interaction, knowledge, and definition, and one of the main sources of unity. Without Language one would not be able to gather thoughts or to learn about something being that it is impossible for one to think thoughts or according to Patricia Bizzell theory recorded in the text ideas when there are not any words to help formulate them. Without being able to formulate thoughts we would not be able to put forth words which would hinder us from communicating and interacting, which would prevent us from gaining knowledge about those who are different from us and would a restraint on unity. Thus, making the world seemingly dead, and perhaps not much of a world at all. Truly what would the world be without, thoughts, words, knowledge, new ideas, and sounds from people interacting within it. That is truly the “heart” of the relationship between language and the world in which we live.
